"Worth The Risk" is Jordan Popky's first single release following her debut EP, which came out in February this year. It marks the start of a summer of steady releases, kicking off the season with a belt-along-in-your-car departure from the softer sounds of her last release. Co-written with her producer, Adam Tilzer, this song is a look back on a failed 'situationship' at its turning point.
lyrics
If you wanna call it
Do it now. I'm tired
Of you making up your mind
Gonna lose it all on a safe bet
I tried to warn you when we crossed that line
If I'm not worth the risk
You shouldn't have started this
If I'm not worth the risk
If I'm not worth the risk
You shouldn't have started this
If I'm not worth the risk
Babe, you speak in daggers
When you get too high
And tell me how hard you try
You want to want this, but it doesn't matter
Perfect on paper, but it's just not right
If I'm not worth the risk
You shouldn't have started this
If I'm not worth the risk
If I'm not worth the risk
You shouldn't have started this
If I'm not worth the risk
And, hey, maybe I
Should have said I wasn't okay
The first time you pulled away
I know you never lied
But you took me to a vulnerable place
Hung me out to dry, and thought I'd stay
If I'm not worth the risk
You shouldn't have started this
If I'm not worth the risk
You, you took a risk
When you went for that second kiss
Yeah, you, you took a risk
You, you took a risk
When you used up your benefits
Yeah, you, you took a risk
Was it worth the risk
When you left for another's lips
Was she worth the risk
